Mineral Springs
The most attractive tourist destination in Chiflik is the "Strugat" resort complex, situated at an altitude of approximately 800 metres and about 2 km from the centre of the village.
Set in a beautiful area where the Beli Osam and Kozeshtitsa rivers meet, surrounded by lush greenery, the resort is home to numerous hotels.
The resort's greatest natural asset is its therapeutic mineral water, discovered during hydrogeological surveys in 1972. The spring has a flow rate of approximately 3,000 litres per minute and a temperature of 52°C. The water is classified as low-mineralised, with a hydrocarbonate calcium-sodium and magnesium composition and a mildly alkaline reaction.
The mineral water is traditionally used for the treatment and rehabilitation of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, as well as neurological, gynaecological, urological, gastrointestinal and skin conditions.
The resort also features an Olympic-size swimming pool supplied with mineral water.
