Petrovden is celebrated according to the old calendar on 12 July, during what folk tradition regards as the hottest days of the year, known as the goreshtnitsi.
The celebration takes place outdoors in nature. A fire is lit and the traditional festive dish “Byal Mazh” is prepared for all visitors to taste.
