Every year on 21 January, the Prosveta Community Cultural Centre in Chiflik marks Babinden.
The oldest woman in the village is visited and greeted with a sprig of geranium as a wish for health.
Afterwards, representatives of the mayor's office and the community cultural centre visit a home where a child has been born during the previous year.
At the community cultural centre, the traditional babuvane ritual is recreated, and the celebration continues with a festive gathering attended by women from the village.
